Before studying at west dean college I had a keen interest in blacksmithing since i was young and were able to explore this at school as there was a forge located on the grounds. Since then i have set up a small workshop at home where i have been able to home in on my passion for tool making and bladesmithing.

Constantly trying out different techniques and many different projects to find what area of tool making i wanted to push my attention to, this being cutting edge tools and hammers. However, since studying at west dean i have learned to love all manners of smithing, exploring traditional techniques and styles to make my tools not only functional, but aesthetically pleasing. One process im interested in pursuing is forging Damascus/pattern welded steel blades and tools, this being my main focus in my 2nd year project.
