My Work
Here is a small collection of some projects i have undertaken while being at West Dean College aswell as in my home forge. Featuring a few blades, traditional forging experimentation and mechanism work.

01
Yanagiba Damascus Sushi Knife
First Damascus knife i forged, styled after a Yanagiba, a traditional Japanese sushi knife. The blade has been Copper plated and features a Thuya Burl and black horn handle.
02
Damascus Hewing Axe
Hand forged Damascus hewing axe with a tough, sharp edge, good balance, and bold layered steel, made for shaping timber the traditional way.

03
Log storage
As part of my 2nd year forging project we had to create a functional house hold object, i wanted to incorporate traditonal styles and shapes into this project.
04
1st Year Padlock Project
Our first major project while studing at West Dean we were asked to create a functioning padlock with a complex style, i created a 5 leaver tumbler lock with its aesthetic following the style of a rams head.
